Your road to self-empowerment

About Me

Born and raised in the Netherlands, on a never-ending road to self-empowerment and helping others on the way.

Who am I?

Hey, I’m Merijn Duchatteau. I write and I’ve been fascinated by the human mind and human behaviour since I was young. Unsurprisingly this led me to the path of studying psychology for five years, to which I owe two seperate master degrees; one in behavioural psychology and one in organisational psychology.

About Merijn Duchatteau

For the past five years I’ve worked as a change consultant, applying my knowledge in practice for a variety of (international) clients, implementing psychology to create positive and sustainable (behavioural) change. As I grew older my interest in psychology and behaviour soon fixated on how we can create an optimal state of happiness, personal power and freedom for ourselves, given all the inevitable shit that anyone will encounter on their path. This led me to dive into age-old philosophies such as Buddhism, Daoism and Stoicism, as an addition to the more ‘traditional’ studies of the human mind.

I stubbornly believe many of us operate at a fraction of the potential we have inside of ourselves and that tapping into this potential can greatly improve our quality of life. I combine insights from behavioural science, social psychology,  philosophy, literature and my own trial and error to share inspiration on how to do so. On how to take charge and on how to empower yourself.

Oh. And I like reading, too. So I read books so you don’t have to.

I hope you enjoy the content. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me through
